Wheat Bread French Toast

 IMG_2620

INGREDIENTS

wheat bread
eggs, beaten
pinch of salt
pinch of sugar
milk
butter

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Beat eggs in a bowl and combine milk, salt and sugar
2. Heat pan and add butter, spread it evenly
3. Dip bread into the egg mixture and bring it to the heated pan
4. Brown both sides of bread, then serve

I love french toast and since I am not a rice person, I usually just have bread with my meals (all kinds of meals). Make sure not to dip the bread into the egg mixture, for so long because you will get very soggy bread (and that's not very good). I, particularly prefer that the bread is almost toasted, but it's really up to you.

Serve the french toast with maple syrup, butter or jam. I combine butter and strawberry jam because that is what we have at home --- but I'm sure you can be a little more creative!
