Spicy Mongolian Beef

sirloin beef strips
garlic, minced
onions, minced
red bell peppers, strips
carrots, strips
chili flakes
sesame oil
dry sherry
soy sauce

1. Combine chili flakes, sesame oil, dry sherry, soy sauce and cornstarch to make the marinade
2. Marinate beef strips for 30 minutes to an hour
3. Heat onion and garlic in a pan
4. Add marinated beef and stitfry
5. Add carrots, red bell peppers and mushrooms

Okay, so I did not have dry sherry for this one so I substituted it with balsamic vinegar. It seemed okay and it was really good, especially since I put a lot of chili flakes. I should have cut the red bell peppers in thickers strips, though, because it seemed quite annoying to eat.

This is perfectly eaten as a rice bowl dish, which is what I did. I served it on top of hot rice and soup on the side. It's a very simple dish and you would not take so long to cook it.
