You should know (or maybe I have already told you) that I am allergic to seafood. It was so much easier when I was younger because when I eat seafood, I’d get rashes all over my body --- it was ugly, itchy and irritating, but it was so much better. When I got older, the effect changed. If I eat seafood, my lips, tongue and throat would feel itchy and swollen. Today, it is so much worse… when I eat seafood, I do not get rashes, my lips don’t swell --- what happens to me is that my lungs shut down and I can’t breathe. That is why I don’t cook seafood, but since my husband is a seafood-lover, I try my hardest to feed him what he craves for, most of the time.
Mind you, I did not get to taste it. I did get to taste it up until I added the shrimps, but I didn’t get to taste the finished product I followed the recipe and I merely played it by aroma, but I did not get to make adjustments before I served it to him. He was very happy, so that makes me happy too. He said for someone who can’t eat seafood, it was spectacular and that made me smile. I don’t know if I could repeat it though… Hahaha!
