Thai-Style Fish Fillet

IMG_3448
INGREDIENTS

cream dory
foil
1 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
2 tbsp line juice
2 shallots, finely sliced
ginger, grated
1 tbsp mirin or sweet rice wine
2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
black pepper
1 tomato, diced
cilantro

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix it well
2. Get one big slice of the fish fillet in a foil and combine it with the marinade. Wrap it well and set it aside for a 30 minutes.
3. Steam the fish in the foil for 15 minutes
4. Top it with diced tomatoes

If you’re on a diet and you want something that’s light, this is probably the lightest dish I could recommend. It is steamed, so it is definitely healthy and I actually finished one whole creamy dory slice by myself. I like it because it is very simple. I think majority of the dishes I cook are easy-to-do because I really do not have much time to stay in the kitchen. I have actually began a new routine of cooking huge meals in the evening, and just storing it in the the refrigerator --- to be eaten for the whole week.

I was quite surprised with the turn out of this dish. I saw this recipe, somewhere and decided to copy it and I think I should try it again, soon.
